2008 Executive

For the Calendar year 2008, The club Executive is:

Director at large – Norm Fee
Director, Echelon Project – John Large
Director, Communications – Kevin Nelson
Director, Finance – Philippe Richer

These people are volunteering to help manage the club but they will not do everything – you must help too.

To contact them, send a message to the Club e-mail group saying you want to contact them or you want one of them to contact you. We will not be posting e-mail addresses because these people do not want to get spam. Also, for privacy reasons, no phone numbers will be posted.

2008 Membership

For 2008, the basic Wheeler membership fee is $100, that is the fee required to become a member of the Club. This includes insurance costs with the Ontario Cycling Association.

If you register as a family, (2 or more), that fee is $150 (i.e. $75 each).

If you are a member of the Executive Committee your fee will be reduced to $75 in the following year. Or, if you have provided significant support or volunteered in helping and working towards enhancing club activities (the executive can make this call) you will also pay $75 the following year.

Any individual who wants to be a member needs to be sponsored by an existing member to support their entry into the club.

On Sunday March 30 we will be organizing a sign-up ride and pub time, but in the meantime you can send your membership in by filling out the form available from the link below. The form is two pages and must be COMPLETELY filled in to be valid. Page 1 is the club registration, page 2 is for the OCA insurance. Once complete, MAIL it to the club along with your cheque (payable to “West of Quebec Wheelers”). We appreciate your diligence in this matter.

Insurance notes

Please note that being a Wheelers member entitles you to insurance coverage only on official Wheelers events. Should you wish to participate in Ottawa Bicycle Club events (i.e. time trials) you will need to purchase OBC membership as well.
