For the third day in a row I’ve opted out of a run at the end of the day. This is not good. I have a buddy coming to Ottawa in two weeks who wants to go do big rides. I’m completely un prepared.

Can’t I get my act together to at least get in a few mins of exercising a few times a week when I go on these trips with the bike club? Been on the road for nearly two weeks, haven’t done a thing since I got to la Beauce last Monday.

Lazy days

Today I woke up kinda un-motivated. I lounged around all day and started drinking beer at 2PM. Didn’t ride, didn’t run. Took a nap and watched movies.

I got side-tracked today and didn’t do shit. Maybe tomorrow I’ll exercise twice. I just got my new Bryan Kest yoga DVD and want to try it out… after I, errrr, go running with dogs.

My worst fears

Well I’m back from that trip to Georgia and my worst fears came true. Before I left I was afraid that uprooting my routine and being dumped into the me lee of the pro bike race would hurl my routine right into the shitter. And that is exactly what happened.

Sitting in hotel rooms

I haven’t done anything for two days. I flew to Atlanta and today I did airport runs picking up Bill and Svein. Now I’m relaxing its 11pm, and I’m with Kev C.

I didn’t do shit today. Spent all day working and on the phone.

Overwhelmed

Today I was overwhelmed with work. I fell asleep exhausted at 8PM. Did no exercise. Sometimes life gets in the way. I didn’t want to take today off, but since I have its as good a day as any. I’ll now try to get out and move every other day this week.

Denied

Today I was denied by a few things: over-eagerness, residual technique, lack of fitness and Black Lake hill. Sheri skied early today and told me the conditions were great on the Black Lake section of the parkway. She skied 3hrs today. I’m not doing any exercise today. I’m resting. A lot of exercisaholics don’t realize that proper recovery is as important as ‘training’.
