However I can still appreciate and be very impressed with his ride today in Switzerland. It was astute, ballsy and oozed panache. He showed patience, played off the strength of Cancellera and the poor tactics of Spain, timed his move perfectly and had the strength to pull it off. Full respect.

Then instead of being gracious, Cadel spews more negative garbage in his post race interview–granted this might be more Velonews histrionics.  Great ride, great win today. I even found myself cheering for him to pull it off in the final and I was happy to see him win. But I will remain a non-fan. This stands as a great analysis of Cadel's career. Now I'm just waiting for more post race quotes where he criticizes his team mates. I wonder if he threatened to chop somone's head off?
