Ummm not sure…
Umm I’m not sure I do much of this when travelling… Service Canada suggests you do this when preparing to travel:
1. Apply for a Passport
Check. don’t leave home without it.
2. Research the Country You are Planning to Visit
Sort of. I read the wikipedia page, if that counts.
3. Apply for a Visa
No. Never.
4. Research Required Vaccinations
No. Never
5. Obtain Health and Travel Insurance
Check. I get an annual thingy with my company’s health trust. So I never really think of it when I travel.
6. Take Precautions When Travelling with Children
No. Never
7. Apply for an International Driving Permit
Check. Got it.
8. Change Your Currency
No. Never. I just go to an ATM in the airport wherever I land.
9. Review Pre-boarding Information
huh? I’m not even sure what this is? I always travel with the same smallish carry-on. I have it permanently packed with my travel toiletry stash with nothing more than 100ml, all stowed in one of those airport zip-lock baggies- tooth brush, deodorant, tylenol, sleeping pills, moisturizer. I also bring a blow up travel pillow, entertainment electronics, a spare merino wool t-shirt . It contains no weapons, knives, fruits vegetables nor farm animals. I have my routine, I never change it. One bag, one bag only-for carrying on.
10. Register with the Government If You Are Travelling Abroad
Double huh?
11. Declare Your Goods
Triple huh?
I guess I suck as a traveller with a total score of 4 outa 11.
